Search Parke County Court Dockets

Restricted matters, older material, and some documents require confirmation through the Clerk, the Circuit Court, or the court reporter in Rockville, and an online view is never a certified record. Parke County, Indiana runs a single Circuit Court, and Indiana calls its running event history the Chronological Case Summary, or CCS. Begin with the statewide portal. Entries identify filings, hearings, orders, status, and financial activity, and a Parke County court docket search compares that public result with what the Clerk of the Parke Circuit Court holds.

MyCase Fields for Parke Dockets

MyCase splits its search tools by what you know. The case search takes a case number, citation, or cross-reference. Name search covers parties and businesses. Attorney search works with a lawyer's name or bar number where one is listed. Always set Parke County first. The portal draws from courts across Indiana.

A blank result does not mean no case exists. Drop optional punctuation or leading zeroes, double-check the county, think about converted files, and ask the Clerk about paper or restricted material.

Court Dockets: What They Show

Think of the CCS as a chronology rather than the whole file. One entry can show a pleading, hearing, order, or payment. The underlying documents stay off the screen. Later docket entries can also change earlier settings, so read to the end. An open or closed label never replaces the actual judgment or disposition.

Decode a Parke County Docket Number

Under Administrative Rule 8, a number like 61C01-YYMM-TYPE-SEQ routes a case. The 61 flags Parke County. C01 points to the Circuit Court. YYMM gives the filing period, TYPE names a category, and the sequence marks the individual filing. Criminal codes include CF, CM, F1 through F6, and MC. On the civil side, codes include CT, PL, MF, EV, and SC. Probate uses ES, EU, GU, and TR.

A code alone promises nothing about public access. Family, juvenile, mental-health, protection-order, sealed, and expunged matters get special handling. When the visible record leaves you unsure, read the case description and ask the Clerk.

Parke County Courts and Their Dockets

Parke County runs one Circuit Court with one judge and one county Clerk. There is no separate Superior, County, City, or Town Court in current operation. A town mailing address does not create a municipal docket. Appeals and federal cases live in separate systems.

Parke Dockets Have Several Keepers

One court does not put everything under one roof. The Clerk holds the filings, case files, CCS printouts, certifications, and payment information. The Circuit Court handles scheduling and procedure questions. The court reporter controls transcripts. Appellate and federal clerks keep their own records. For statewide criminal-history products, Indiana State Police is the source.

A transcript request should carry the case number. Add the judge, the hearing date, and the product you want. Parke's 2024 Judicial Service Report lists one reporter. Local Rule 11 sets out fee provisions. One cited state reference describes an indigent transcript maximum of $4.50 per page plus $25 per hour for compiling and indexing. But the local rule and current approval control. Get an estimate from the reporter rather than applying that reference on your own.

An appeal noted on the trial CCS does not make MyCase the full appellate file. Once a Parke judgment is appealed, briefs and certified copies come through Indiana's appellate process. Federal matters assigned to the Southern District of Indiana sit in PACER or with its clerk. Bankruptcy runs on its own federal docket. Match the office to the record you actually need, and misdirected requests drop away.

CCS

Certified copy

Transcript

Court Dates and Settings in Parke County

The Indiana Court Calendar covers a narrow window. It runs from the previous seven days through the next four weeks. It never shows historical dates. Parke shows no participating courts there at present. Treat that empty result as a coverage gap, not proof that court is closed.

Before any hearing, check more than one source. Use the CCS hearing block, the statewide calendar, the Court or Clerk phone line, and the daily docket posted at the courthouse. Confirm the case number, hearing type, date, time, and room. A later reset always controls over an original setting. The Parke County Court Schedule walks through settings in more depth.

When Parke Docket Calendars Look Empty

Missing a setting? Call the Circuit Court at (765) 569-5671 or the Clerk at (765) 569-5132. Administrative Rule 9 requires daily calendars or dockets in electronic or other form, subject to access rules and technical conditions. Even so, it does not promise every setting appears statewide.

Give staff the complete case number, not just a party name. Ask whether the event is a hearing, trial, conference, sentencing, or something else. Also ask whether the courtroom or start time changed. The courthouse-posted daily docket can answer a same-day question. That holds even without Parke's participation in the statewide feed. For future planning, trust the signed notice or the latest CCS order over an old calendar entry.

Date fields do different jobs. A filing date marks when a case or document entered the system. An event date marks activity. A status date can flag an administrative change. A judgment date records a ruling, while a transaction date belongs to the financial panel. Mixing these up can send someone to court on the wrong day. Read each event label beside its date. Then check whether a later entry cancels, continues, or replaces it.

A blank screen is not a cancellation. Do not miss an appearance because a portal returns nothing. Confirm with the court or Clerk and follow the latest order.

Docket Access Under Indiana Law

Two layers of law govern access here. The Access to Public Records Act provides the general framework, while court rules control judicial privacy, redaction, remote display, and restrictions. A Parke case file belongs with the local Clerk, not automatically with the Office of Judicial Administration.

Key Indiana authorities:

IC 5-14-3 provides the general public-record framework.

Administrative Rule 9 addresses dockets, access, fees, and technical failures.

Access Rule 5 identifies excluded records and sensitive information.

Access Rule 6 provides the extraordinary restriction procedure.

Restricted categories include juvenile, adoption, mental-health, sealed, privileged, ex parte, medical, and protected-person information. Never read a missing result as an outcome.

Odyssey Filing and Parke Docket Display

Two systems do different jobs in Parke County. Odyssey handles case management and electronic filing behind the scenes. MyCase is the public window onto the docket. Attorneys usually e-file through a certified EFSP, though self-represented filers are generally not required to. Filing and public display stay separate, and privacy review, conversion, or restrictions can limit what a document shows. The Parke Circuit Court page names the judicial office and its current details.

How the Clerk Keeps Docket Records

Nicole Collings is the first contact for CCS printouts, copies, filing status, balances, and whether an item lives on paper or electronically. Requests can start in person, by phone, mail, fax, or a suitable electronic inquiry. Whatever the channel, give the case number, the exact event, the date, the copy type, and your delivery choice.

Parke Docket Copies and Certification

Viewing a docket on MyCase is generally free. Copies are not. Certification, postage, transcripts, exhibits, and compiled data can all cost money. A state resource lists general one-dollar copy and seal amounts. Local ordinances can still change the charges. Local Rule 16 adds a $4.50 registered or certified mailing amount. Alternatively it allows the prevailing clerk cost in covered situations. Ask the Parke Clerk for a current quote and a completion estimate before you commit.

Three Stops for Parke Traffic Dockets

A Parke County traffic ticket touches three systems. MyCase shows the case header and the CCS. The ePay site searches for tickets that qualify for online payment. The BMV keeps the driving record itself, apart from the court docket. Note that any portal charge you pay is not the same as a judgment, a late amount, or a reinstatement fee.

For paying, the official ePay portal is the page that handles eligible Parke County tickets.

City-by-City Court Dockets in Parke County

All five incorporated towns ride the county route. The county operates no independent municipal court. Population can organize a search, but it settles nothing about authority or volume. Search Parke County, then ask the Clerk which assignment controls a given case.

Rockville is the county seat. Note the addresses, though. Town Hall sits at 119 West High Street, while the courthouse is at 116 West High Street. Those are different buildings. Montezuma council and ordinance materials are town records, not a judicial CCS. Rosedale's town website is likewise a civic source rather than a court database. Marshall and Bloomingdale keep community anchors but no separate courts. A citation can name a town while its judicial record stays countywide.

The 2020 Census counted Rockville at 2,510. Montezuma came in at 921, Rosedale at 636, Marshall at 274, and Bloomingdale at 269. July 1, 2024 state estimates put those towns at 2,589, 926, 653, 277, and 274. The figures describe community size only. They measure no filings, confer no jurisdiction, and create no local judge. The case number and its Circuit Court assignment do the real routing work.

Rockville Court Records

2020 population 2,510. County seat and courthouse city.

Montezuma Court Records

2020 population 921. Town records differ from a CCS.

Rosedale Court Records

2020 population 636. Confirm assignments with the Clerk.

Marshall Court Records

2020 population 274. No separate court was located.

Bloomingdale Court Records

2020 population 269. The community hall is not a courthouse.

In every one of the five towns, a solid request names the Parke case number, the exact filing or setting, and what you need. That need might be an ordinary copy, a certified copy, inspection, a transcript, or a payment status. A town office answers municipal-government questions. The Parke Clerk remains the contact for judicial records. Keep that distinction in mind whenever a local address shows up in a caption or citation. For older files, ask whether the surviving source is paper, converted electronic data, or an archived record. Then pick delivery and certification options.

Map and Directions to the Parke County Courthouse

Parke Circuit Court's case files and the Clerk's docket records are both kept at the Parke County Courthouse, 116 West High Street, in downtown Rockville, the county seat. The Clerk of the Circuit Court works from the second-floor Room 204, handling CCS printouts, copies, certifications, filings, and payments, while the Circuit Court itself sits in Room 203. Confirming the room with a call before a visit saves a trip between floors.

Rule 10.1 of the Parke local rules requires courthouse visitors to pass a security check and bars cameras, recording devices, and food or drink inside the building, so plan for a brief screening at the door. Because an older statewide court directory can list a different room for the Circuit Court, call the Clerk at (765) 569-5132 or the Court at (765) 569-5671 to confirm the room before traveling.
